Ingredients

Semolina

Instructions

  • Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan and lightly fry the chopped nuts and raisins. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add the semolina and roast over medium heat until light golden and fragrant.
  • In a jug, mix 1 cup DANO Daily Pushti Milk Powder with 4 cups hot water to prepare the milk.
  • Gradually pour the milk into the roasted semolina, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
  • Once the semolina mixture starts to boil, add ½ cup brown sugar, a pinch of salt, and cardamom powder. Mix well and cook over medium heat.
  • For a richer and creamier texture, mix 4–5 tablespoons of DANO Daily Pushti Milk Powder with a little water to make a thick, cream-like mixture. Add it to the halwa and mix well.
  • Add the fried nuts and raisins and cook for another 1–2 minutes, stirring until the halwa becomes thick and creamy.
  • Remove from heat and serve this delicious Shahi Suji Halwa hot with paratha or roti.

Roast the suji on medium heat until lightly golden and fragrant for a richer flavor.

Add the prepared milk gradually while stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
